Perfume or extract:
This is the strongest concentration which has been diluted with
alcohol. This is 15% up to 30% perfume concentrate solved in alcohol up
to 90%. These fragances are the most expensive ones. With a few drops
of perfume you can smell the fragrance up to 8 hours.
Eau the perfume:
This contains approximately half of the perfume concentrate that is
till 15% . Eau the perfume is diluted with 90% ethanol, it also
vaporases quicker. Here you can use a little bit more than with
perfume, but you must not exaggerate.
Eau de toilette:
The concentration of eau the toilette will varie from 5% until 10% it
is diluted with
usually 85% alcohol. Eau the toilette is often available in
flacons with a spray.
Eau de cologne:
This is a fragrance for sport loving occasions, the perfume concentrate
varie from 3% to 5%
and has a alcoholpercentage of 70% up to 80%.
Eau fraiche:
This is a refreshing water which almost always is scented with a tip of
citrusperfume. Well to use for outdoor and with sports but not in the
sun. The perfume percentage is rather low 1% up to 3% but the alcohol
percentage is rather high 70% to 80% because of this it is possible
that chemical response arises as a result of uv radiation. This can
cause spots on the skin. At this moment there are alternatives on the
market which contain no alcohol.
The eaux the cologne (for men):
It has the same perfume concentrate as eau the cologne for women. They
are seldom been diluted with alcohol above 70% including exceptions.
Nowadays it has been determined by law that the alcoholpercentage must
be on the package. This means you can see exactly if something is very
concentrated or not.
