Perfume or extract:
This is the strongest concentration which has been diluted with alcohol. This is 15% up to 30% perfume concentrate solved in alcohol up to 90%. These fragances are the most expensive ones. With a few drops of perfume you can smell the fragrance up to 8 hours.
Eau the perfume:
This contains approximately half of the perfume concentrate that is till 15% . Eau the perfume is diluted with 90% ethanol, it also vaporases quicker. Here you can use a little bit more than with perfume, but you must not exaggerate.
Eau the toilette:
The concentration of eau the toilette will varie from 5% until 10% it is diluted with
usually 85% alcohol. Eau the toilette is often available in flacons with a spray.
Eau the cologne:
This is a fragrance for sport loving occasions, the perfume concentrate varie from 3% to 5%
and has a alcohol percentage of 70% up to 80%.
Eau fraiche:
This is a refreshing water which almost always is scented with a tip of citrusperfume. Well to use for outdoor and with sports but not in the sun. The perfume percentage is rather low 1% up to 3% but the alcohol percentage is rather high 70% to 80% because of this it is possible that chemical response arises as a result of uv radiation. This can cause spots on the skin. At this moment there are alternatives on the market which contain no alcohol.
The eaux the cologne (for men):
It has the same perfume concentrate as eau the cologne for women. They are seldom been diluted with alcohol above 70% including exceptions. Nowadays it has been determined by law that the alcohol percentage must be on the package. This means you can see exactly if something is very concentrated or not.
