Gianni Versace Born in 1946, son of Francesca Versace a fashion designer in Galabrie, who workt for the rich people. She learnd her son to design. He was the most talented of her three children. In 1972 he decided to find his luck in Milaan. He was working as designer for Genny, Callaghan, Complice, Byblos and other firms. Because of his designes he becomes well known. He asks his brother Santo (he just finish his studie economie) to help him with the financials of his company.

The decided to start a partnership. In 1978 they open a fashionhouse in one the richest streets of Milaan, De via della spiga. They are verry succesfull because the combination of their two talents. It doesn’t take not so long before their company is well known in the rest of the world.

Later on Gianni’s sister, Donnatella became an employee of the campany. She falls in love with the American model Paul Beck, how shows the malecollection of Gianni Versace on the catwalk. A few years later she marries him. Donnatella is now in charge of the prêt-a-porter line versus. In 1981 Versace lanches his first perfume. A beautiful bottle that is designed as a diamant, the essence self is also special. Yves Saint Laurent Yves Saint Laurent did the distribution of the perfum and in 1984 also the distribution of Versace L’Homme.

After this, the cooperation between Versace en Yves Siant Laurent becames under pressure. Their cooperation ends. In 1988 they start the company profumi. This company calls nowadays Giver gi for Gianni and Ver for Versace. In 1995, Versace launches the smell Blond, inspired through the blonde hair of his sister.

The launch was in a very exceptional surrounding place, the Egyptian hall of the Metropolitan of Art in New York. Donatella is also model for the advertising photographs. Allegra the daughter of Donnatella, and the two children of Santo, Antonio en Francesca also become concerned by the activities. The three children pose cheerfully for the perfume advertising from Casa Versace. Santo and the children would love to stay assist the famous designer, only the fate particular otherwise. 15 July 1997 Gianni Versace was murdered in front of his house in Maimi Beach Florida. Donnatella en Santo stood for the heavy task to set the business forward. The did a great job en the children are also active in the company.
